About this hotel

A little about Nimmu House to familiarize you with the concept. The many niches in Nimmu House come from centuries-old Tibetan architecture. The story of this place is rooted in community & tradition. We weave an interactive play between form, culture, history, people, and simple village living. So, in essence, it is foremost a conservation project. To preserve and showcase the Buddhist way of life and, in doing so, enrich residents & guests alike. Inspired by the traditions of Ladakh, Nimmu House has its vision for a modern handpicked stay. It is a place to connect, slow down, observe & feel with.

Our spaces at Nimmu House are designed with your comfort and tranquillity in mind. They are simple, effortless, and thoughtfully curated with genuine care and attention. We pay special attention to light, layout, colour, and, of course, comfort. Here, you can truly unwind and let yourself unfold. Immerse yourself in the agrarian legacy of Ladakh at Nimmu House. Our beautiful, restored heritage home is nestled in the heart of an apple and apricot orchard, a testament to the region’s natural beauty. The cosy heritage rooms inside the main house and the generous tents in the midst of the fruit orchards offer a unique connection to nature. Enjoy fresh and organic produce straight from the Nimmu gardens, a true feast for the senses.

The five bedrooms of Nimmu House are decorated with taste and respect for Ladakhi heritage while offering all the modern comfort. Walls and windows are dressed with warm tones of fabrics and rough materials, creating a charming mountain-style atmosphere. The rooms are situated on the first and second floors of the house and offers views of the orchard and the Himalayan panorama surrounding the house. Each room has a king-sized bed or twin bed, a fan and hot water for tea and coffee. All rooms have a private en-suite bathroom with a western toilet, sink, and shower with hot water (solar panel heated). With their serene vibe and authentic traditional touch, the heritage rooms promise a slow, restful and charming stay.
